Working 9-5 as a Photographer - Does that happen
Well it does BUT rarely especially in the Autumn / Xmas season that is just about upon us. Whilst August was a bit traditionally slow - Not just for photographers I understand certainly in our area but also for Beauty & Hairdressing, probably due to school holidays and many people away on the hols but also because not everyone may have the money at this time of year for luxery goods & treatments.

To be honest I started writing this post a couple of weeks ago but did not finish it or publishise it. Why - well ran out of time and just not been motivated to complete it BUT here I am tapping away - Hopefully to create something interesting. BUT hey thats another thought - Who finds waffelly Blog posts about Photography events interesting..? Is it like watching paint dry or Grass grow is it really that boring. Well perthaps it is to some people but to others - may be the Creatives in the world who have some understanding of the way a creatives mind works ( or perhaps doesn’t ), especially on some days.

And here I go again waffling off to another subject - my brain is particularly busy today - makes a change from it going mad as soon as I lay my head on the pillow at night - but thats another story.
This Blog post was supposed to be about the run up to Xmas and how busy that can be for Photographers and therefore how many hours a day do we have to work - For me it’s certainly not a working 9-5 job at any time of the year BUT now coming into the Xmas season it does go a bit mad. We have a number of Events planned in - from 50th Birthday events to Company Awards & Xmas Party Nights. So most days with events up to Xmas will be quite long.
For me it’s great seeing people celebrate especially at Business Awards nights where many people may have won an award to recognise there efforts & achievements in the year and of course an opportunity for people to have some fun together outside the often stressful working environment.
Xmas is a special time for everyone but especially families and the children - it can be magical but it can also be expensive and at the moment we are all still feeling the impact of the cost of living including the fallout of Brexit and Covid. Well that may be what the politicians would have us think.

There will be more posts from me before xmas no doubt but I was just thinking chrissmassy and thought of this image - this one from a few yaers ago from one of our Photo Studios but it’s always encompassed at least part of what a family christmas is all about happiness & laughter..
